FIRST GARDEN

Main dish - Sesame Chicken

Our 2nd destination is First Garden which is located in Ipoh. After drove for one and a half hour, finally LepaKing reached the legendary food paradise which we heard from the local people-FIRST GARDEN! There's a unique stall operating in this Winner Restaurant and our main focus is on the 'Weng Weng Roasted Chicken' which has been operated for over 30 years. Sounds great, right?! This business owner really run his business with full passion. It has been passed down from generation to generation. Although both the father and son run their family business separately, the originality still there and you guys need not to worry about the taste of the food. The father's stall is operating at Taman Mas Food Court and this is the only food court in that residential area. So, it's not quit hard to sought out the older stall. Of course, you guys can't really miss the sesame chicken which is the main dish of the respective stall. It always been the first choice of the First Garden residents. Let's go through the whole process!

The Winner Restaurant is highly recommended and crowded by many customers all the time and still, the Weng Weng Roasted Chicken is still the most preferable choice compare with other stalls.

After interviewing with the friendly owner, Mr.William Hooi and Mrs.Hooi, we realized that the restaurant is famous enough to get widespread from Sin Chew Daily, Chinese newspaper. Can you guys see the words on the newspaper cutting? Their sesame chickens are sold in limited quantity due to the costly ingredients that they use in preparing their main dish. So, if you guys reach the place late, then you all will gonna miss this excellent plus bravo food! Be fast ya!

Honorably, we had participated in their preparation^^ They were so kind to share this precious moment with us.. I am sure that all of you will get shocked when you all discover the actual operation hour. They began to prepare everything at 4am in the early morning! (can't imagine how dedicated they are to their jobs..)  Two main ingredients are oyster and ketchup. They will
first-preserve the chickens with these two ingredients and then just roast it. Don't think that its just a simple process, it actually consume lots of energy and time to get things done. At that time, all of us have the same feeling... If we were them, we can't do as good as they did even though we know the recipe. 2 thumbs up !!!

Above pictures showing the final look of the sesame chickens

Wow~~ can you guys see how busy they were? They were really good in handling the crowd.

Both of our lovely members were interviewing the business owner. Although the owner's face look fierce, surprisingly he was willing to reveal his business strategy and briefly about his recipe. Don't judge a book by it's cover ya~~ hahaha~~

Don't interpret the picture wrongly as a salad..! It is actually a side dish for the stinking bean curd.. So special and it taste freaking good.. You must try it for no doubt!

The frying process was ongoing and we just stand aside to observe it.. We almost lose our patience as we were starving at that moment = = We can't WAIT any longer!!

The vendor felt our hunger and he made it fast and instant.. We felt that so troublesome at that moment and caused so much inconvenience to him.. LOL

Luckily he was so kind and able to answer our interview..
